Ardelle: How to Honour God with Your Passions

For those who don’t know you, who are you?

I'm Ardelle, and at heart, I'm a passionate fashion designer. My journey in the world of fashion has been an adventure, one filled with creativity, and a commitment to making people look and feel their best.

I've always believed that fashion is a powerful form of self-expression, and through my work, I strive to create designs that not only captivate the eye but also tell a unique story. My designs are an extension of my personality, a blend of classic elegance and contemporary flair. Whether it's designing ready-to-wear collections or crafting custom pieces for clients, I pour my heart into everything. So, in a nutshell, I am Ardelle, a fashion designer dedicated to bringing beauty, confidence, and individuality to the world through clothing.

Tell us about Ardelle, what was the inspiration behind it?

Ardelle is more than just a clothing brand; it's the embodiment of a lifelong passion and a deep-rooted commitment to craftsmanship. The inspiration behind Ardelle was born out of my desire to create a fashion label that transcends trends and embodies timeless elegance. I've always believed that clothing is a powerful means of self-expression, and it can empower women to feel confident, beautiful, and authentic.

At the core of Ardelle's inspiration is the idea that luxury should be accessible. I wanted to create a brand where women could find exquisite, beautifully crafted pieces. Each design is a labor of love, meticulously crafted with attention to detail, high-quality materials, and a commitment to ethical practices.

Ultimately, Ardelle is a brand for the woman who seeks a unique and empowering fashion experience. It's about embracing individuality, celebrating femininity, and offering a curated selection of garments that make every woman feel like the best version of herself.

What have you found difficult about creating and starting a brand? What’s kept you going?

Creating and starting a brand, especially with limited resources, has been a journey filled with both challenges and triumphs.

Fashion is a highly competitive industry. Building brand recognition and trust in a market saturated with established labels can be quite daunting and has been a challenge. It requires a relentless commitment to the individuality of my brand, quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction to slowly but steadily carve out a space for Ardelle.

In essence, what keeps me going is the deep-rooted passion for the fashion industry, the belief in my brand's mission, the support of those who believe in Ardelle, and the invaluable lessons learned through the journey. It's a continuous process of growth, learning, and determination that fuels my resilience and character development as both a designer and an entrepreneur.

What role has your faith played in your passion and the creation of your brand?

My faith has played a significant role in both my passion for fashion and the creation of my brand, Ardelle. It keeps me grounded.

My faith instills in me the purpose and responsibility to hold onto the vision and see it through. It reminds me that every talent and gift I possess is a blessing and should be used to make a positive impact in the world and aim to glorify God in the industry. Fashion, for me, is not just about creating beautiful clothing but also about uplifting and empowering women.

Additionally, my faith encourages me to operate my brand with integrity and honesty and provides me with a sense of resilience and hope during the harder times. It's a reminder that challenges and setbacks are opportunities for growth and character development.

How do you keep true to the vision that God has given you?

This may sound strange, but I try to cultivate a curated life balance so that I can have a healthy connection with the vision. When the vision becomes all-consuming everything else loses its place and my balance Is off. Surrounding myself with a supportive community is essential and important to me.

I'm a thinker and I'm constantly self-reflecting. It enables me to assess whether my actions and decisions are in alignment with the vision I believe God has entrusted to me. If needed, I adjust and keep going.

While the core vision remains unwavering, I recognize the importance of flexibility and adaptation. Life is dynamic, and circumstances are constantly changing.

And lastly, relying on the word to uplift, encourage, push, and keep me. Because no one truly understands the depths of this journey but God.

How do you keep the passion and drive for it even when things get hard?

One of my key strategies is regularly reminding myself of the "why" behind my journey. When confronted with difficult moments, I intentionally reconnect with the purpose and vision that I firmly believe God has placed within my heart.

This is really simple, but I go out with my friends, take my mind off the hardship, and onto other parts of my life that bring me joy. There are always problems in life, that are guaranteed, so I’ve learned to battle when necessary.

I'm learning to Embrace all of these difficulties as chances to learn and improve, whilst remaining in a posture of peace and focus.

Lastly, what advice would you give to a creator about starting a fashion brand as a Christian?

Starting a fashion brand as a Christian can be rewarding. It's filled with so much purpose and meaning. It's a unique form of service that can often be overlooked and deemed as insignificant. But every gift has been given by God.

Trusting in God's wisdom and plan for your creative path will provide you with a sense of purpose and direction that goes beyond the trends of the fashion industry.

Integrity is a fundamental principle that should guide your interactions. Building your businesses with honesty and transparency. Treat everyone involved in your brands with dignity and respect, whether they are suppliers, customers, or employees.

In your pursuit of excellence, strive to continuously improve your skills and the quality of your designs. Recognize that your talents and gifts are blessings from God, and it is your responsibility to use them to the best of your abilities. Striving for excellence in your craft is a form of honoring and stewarding these gifts.

I saw a quote the other day that said:

If you really want to honor God with your gifts, use them. He's not expecting perfection, He's expecting effort. If you show up, he will handle the rest

How And lastly, enjoy your life!
